CJ has lived in Ithaca since 1984. She grew up on the water, hailing from Sodus Bay, NY - just a short 90 minute drive north of Ithaca. She originally came to Ithaca to study at Cornell University, where she graduated with a B.S. in Natural Resources in 1988. Having developed an interest in the live theatre in college, she moved to Ogunquit, Maine, after graduation where she worked as Assistant Treasurer of the famous Ogunquit Playhouse. CJ at Ithaca College TheatreIn 1989 CJ returned to Ithaca to work in the Marketing department at the Ithaca College Department of Theatre Arts, where she worked for five years. While working at Ithaca College full-time, CJ earned a Master of Science degree in the area of Corporate Communications from the Roy H. Park School of Communications.  CJ moved to Buffalo in 1993 and worked at Studio Arena Theatre before moving back to Ithaca in 1994.

CJ entered the real estate industry in 1994 as General Manager of Housing Solutions - Ithaca's largest apartment referral service. In June of 1996, CJ obtained her real estate license as a licensed salesperson and worked at Audrey Edelman & Associates for 9 years. In 1998 CJ earned her designation as a Certified Buyer Representative and in 2000, she obtained her real estate broker's license. In January of 2006, CJ moved to Coldwell Banker Shaw Real Estate where has continued her success as a top producer in the Ithaca marketplace.

CJ's background in marketing, sales & management is a huge bonus for both buyers and sellers. She offers a creative edge in marketing homes for sale both in print and Internet media. CJ uses her experience in the market to help sellers pinpoint a realistic asking price which enables her to get homes sold quickly. For buyers, CJ provides a solid resource every step of the way. Each transaction is unique and through each sale, CJ has gained increasing knowledge and expertise. If you are new to the area, CJ can give you a thorough tour of the Ithaca area and assist you throughout your relocation to this lovely Finger Lakes community.

CBR logo CJ believes strongly that her success is due to a commitment to excellence in client relations and continuing education in the field of real estate. Her specialized training as a Certified Buyer Representative® is held by a small percentage of REALTORS® nationwide. GRI In 2008, CJ  earned the Graduate, REALTORS Institute designation (GRI) which is granted upon completing 90 hours of education in areas such as marketing to servicing listing to real estate law. Only 19% of all REALTORS have earned the GRI designation.
